About us

Over the past 25 years Prof. Gerhard Preiss (emeritus of Freiburg University of Education) has developed new paths for mathematics education in early childhood and special education. The basic (and innovative!) ideas of his projects stem from combining mathematics education with concepts from neurological research. This "Neurodidactical" approach focuses more on the child and his or her individual interests and talents than on the subject material.

The aim of Prof. Preiss's work is to give children a broad and lasting basis for understanding mathematics and to support the development of the natural talents of each individual child.

Together with his daughter Gabi Preiss, he offers books, materials and further education seminars for professionals and parents.
